Combining rock, dance and ambient textures, AUDIO TAKES A STAND by The G-Man uses subliminal harmonics to gradually put listeners in a trance. "Sonic applications of
hypnotic euphoria" is the album's subtitle. The 12 songs range from the Pink Floyd-influenced "Angels Behind Your Eyes" to the percolating propulsion of "Free Nude Photos," with
a weird side trip to "Then Comes the Strange," which channels the spirit of the late Frank Zappa.
